Keeping Your Hair in Good Condition

After soaking your feet in warm water, remove any dirt under the nails with an orange stick. Keep the nails short and file them straight across, in one direction only. Really hard nails can be cut straight across with scissors. Never cut down into the sides of the nails as this, like shaping the nails, can cause in-growing toenails.
Care of Fingernails
After cutting your nails, shape them with an emery board, filing in one direction only to prevent splitting and to give an even finish. Cuticles can be easily damaged and future growth may be thicker and extend up the nail. Soften with cuticle cream and then warm water, and very gently push back.
